ReefNet Expedition for IndoPacific Reference Guide 12/09

by brett on Apr.30, 2009, under Learn

ReefNet works with partners Ned DeLoach and Paul Humann at New World Publications to create a series of popular marine life field guides (e.g., http://reefnet.ca/products/fishes/caribbean/). Currently, ReefNet is working to create a reference set for the IndoPacific, quite a lofty goal!  Until this year, the documentation expeditions were private, but they’ve recently opened them up to include photographers, videographers, and marine scientists with specific interests in imaging and marine life.  Participants will have the opportunity to have their work published and recognized by their peers.

ReefNet’s next expedition, to be led by award-winning underwater photographer Keri Wilk, is in December 2009.  This voyage will take place in Ambon (land-based, Maluku Divers) and Raja Ampat (liveaboard, Archipelago Adventurer II), Indonesia. Participants may join either leg of the expedition, or both. You can find full details at: http://reefnet.ca/travel/expeditions/2009/12/.  If anyone would like to learn more about this project, feel free to contact ReefNet.
