  1. Nice composition and good lighting. It could be better if the reef were more color full.

  2. I would crop out the bottom third (about the middle of the anenome) and the right-hand 1/4 in a 3×4 format.

  3. Good suggestion. That would remove the distracting white corals on the right.

  4. Rather than cropping, I’d try to concentrate on retaking this shot. First, I agree that the anemone should take up more of the foreground, but you can do this by framing the shot this way (e.g., get closer), possibly you’d have to angle a bit. Second, I think it is very slightly overexposed and would like to see a re-do with a bit smaller an aperture. Nice shot overall, and the sunball is fantastic, as good as it gets for digital.

  5. You did an honorable job of accomplishing a tough-to-light scene here – the foreground is nicely exposed and the sunburst isn’t blown out. Composition-wise, I’m not seeing a strong subject in the photo, and there are several elements competing for my attention – notably, the sunburst and corals draw my eye away from the anemonefish. Maybe experiment with different crops and see if you think you can make a version you like better.
